Reality star and fitness fanatic Jake Quickenden has announced he and his wife Sophie, who he married in 2022, have welcomed their second baby together. The couple revealed in July last year that they were going to add another little to their family, a little brother or sister for their three-year-old son Leo, and Freddie, 10, Sophie's son from a previous relationship.

Posting the happy new on Instagram, Jake announced: "Welcome to world little one. Kit Quickenden 6lb 13oz. Born 08/01/25 - As a dad I just want to say Sophie was incredible, thank you for delivering Kit and being so amazing."

The doting dad shared a video of newborn Kit being held by Sophie, which appeared to have been filmed very shortly after his birth. Kit was seen wearing a tiny blue knitted hat, while Sophie tucked into some buttery toast - a post-birth staple - while she breastfed.

Jake's gorgeous post was quickly flooded with messages from his fans and celebrity friends, with Mrs Hinch - whose real name is Sophie Hinchcliffe - writing: "Simply Perfect congratulations to you and your wonderful family xxx", and Helen Flanagan commenting: "Congratulations Jake and Sophie xxxxxxx."

Fellow TV host Davina McCall, who is currently back on screens on The Masked Singer after her brain tumour surgery, added a simple: "Yayyyyyyyy", followed by a gift and party hat emoji. Strictly star Tasha Ghouri also commented, writing: "Huge congratulations!!". And pregnant Charlotte Dawson said: "Congratulations guys, he’s so beautiful and Sophie you look insane!!!.

While Jake's post didn't include a middle name for little Kit, speaking exclusively to OK! back in November, he revealed that they planned to honour his late dad Paul when the baby arrived. Paul died from myeloma in 2009, four years before he then devastatingly lost his brother Oliver, aged 19, to bone cancer.

"Leo's middle name is Oliver, after my little brother, and the new baby's middle name is going to be Paul after my dad," he said.

Talking about how much he loves being a dad, Jake added: "But honestly, becoming a dad... There's nothing I love more. Leo's with me now, I've come to see my mum for a few days. I'm 36 years old and my best mate is a three year old. I'm not even embarrassed saying it! He’s my little best mate. We do everything together."
