Jada Pinkett Smith Dyed Her Hair "Sherbet" Pink for Virgo Season

A very happy birthday, indeed.

A very happy birthday to Jada Pinkett Smith, who turned 52 yesterday and celebrated the occasion with a hair transformation that proves she can pull off anything. She unveiled what she called a "sherbet surprise" on Instagram with a stunning close-up that showed a glowing complexion, that signature Pinkett Smith magnetism, and the brand-new hair color.

In the shot, Pinkett Smith's hair was definitely rosier than her past bleached blonde and signature dark brown. The color had a glossy sheen and was indeed a soft pastel pink that recalled frozen treats and sugary desserts in the very best way. Pinkett Smith paired the look with a pared-down look of a chunky black turtleneck sweater (thankfully, Virgo season coincides with sweater weather) and bold silver hoops.

"This ain’t noth’n but a birthday sherbet surprise within a Virgo sunrise," she captioned the post.

Last month, Pinkett Smith offered her followers an update on her alopecia. On Aug. 7, she shared two photos on Instagram. In one, her head was shaved and in the other, she had a tiny bit of extra length.

“This here hair is act’n like it’s try’n a make a come back. Still have some trouble spots but — we’ll see✨,” she wrote alongside the photos.

Pinkett Smith revealed that she had been diagnosed with alopecia during a 2018 episode of Red Table Talk back in 2018.

“A lot of people have been asking why I’ve been wearing turbans," she said at the time. "Well, I haven’t talked about it. It’s not easy to talk about, but I am going to talk about it.”
