Jacqueline Jossa looks incredible as she hits the beach in swimwear after weight loss confession

EastEnders star Jacqueline Jossa put the grey skies of Walford well and truly behind her last week as she enjoyed a blissful sunshine break with her gorgeous family. Looking sensational in a hot pink swimsuit, the actress, 31, was joined by her adorable daughters Ella, nine, and Mia, six, as she frolicked on the beach in Marbella.

Soaking up the Spanish sun, the mum-of-two couldn’t have looked happier as she flaunted her incredible figure in a striking halterneck one-piece. The hard-working star, who has played the BBC1 soap’s troubled Lauren Branning on-and-off for 14 years, enjoyed some much-needed quality time with her children while on a break from filming.

And she couldn’t have looked more body confident as she took a dip in the sea, the waves lapping at her sun-kissed curves. At one point, Jac – who went make-up free and had her chestnut brown locks held back with a chunky hair clip – burst out laughing as a wave caught her by surprise, sweeping her pink baseball cap and sunglasses off her head and into the water.

Despite looking incredible as she cooled off in the sea, Jac last week admitted she doesn’t always feel secure in her own skin.

Posting a snap of herself sipping a cocktail while wearing a figure-hugging striped midi dress, the mum-of-two told her 3.5million Instagram followers, “When your child takes a photo of you and says you look beautiful. Sometimes I over think my tummy or arms or something else, but they see a beautiful mummy and I love that!”

Over the years Jacqueline – who was thrust into the spotlight after joining EastEnders aged just 17 – has been a victim of body-shaming. But today the star is proud of her enviable physique.

Speaking about her stunning size 12 figure, Jac has said she doesn’t “want to feel pressured into losing weight to please other people”, adding, “Everywhere I look, people are talking about weight or how to lose it. I feel sorry for the young girls looking up to the wrong people.”

The proud mum is also acutely aware of how making negative comments about her body could set a bad example for her two daughters.

While on holiday in 2022, Jacqueline posted a body positive video of herself dancing poolside in a bikini with Mia and Ella, telling her fans, “My girls are always watching me! Have to be so careful how I speak about myself.”

Her latest beach break comes after a busy few weeks for the soap favourite, whose husband Dan and his 11-year-old son Teddy – who he shares with his ex, Megan Tomlin – joined her and their girls mid-way through their getaway.

Last month it was revealed that the couple have put their £2million Essex home on the market, signalling that the family is keen to make a fresh start.

Jac and former TOWIE hunk Dan, 33, bought the property in March 2021 and immediately threw themselves into renovating the six-bedroom pad.

They even set up a home Instagram account, @homewiththeosbornes, to document their DIY journey, with Jac saying, “So, we are in the new house and a lot needs to be done.”

Describing the house as their “forever home”, she added, “It needs some tender loving care, a lick of paint and some tweaks. I love, love, love it so much. I’m so proud.“

But now the couple are all set to move on and, having spent “a considerable amount of time and money” doing up the property – which includes a cinema room, walk-in wardrobe, cocktail bar and a huge, family-friendly garden – they have already set their sights on a new dream home.

“A lot of love has gone into their home renovations and now they’re hoping to reap the rewards and sell for a profit,” a source close to the couple said recently. “They have found a new house which they have fallen in love with and can’t wait to make new memories together as a family.”

Jacqueline is now in a good place financially after admitting she was struggling to make ends meet before her stint on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! five years ago.

In 2022, she opened up about her cash woes after quitting EastEnders, saying, “There’s been times where I haven’t had money. Before I went in the jungle I was struggling with money. I had to sell my house.”

But she admitted being crowned Queen of the Jungle on the ITV reality show had brought her some “amazing opportunities”, including big money deals with brands such as In The Style and Hot Diamonds.

And after permanently re-joining EastEnders last year, the star has never been busier.

While Jac was clearly keen to let her hair down during her well-deserved Spanish break, fitness fanatic Dan refused to let his gym regime slide.

“Getting it done,” he tagged a video of himself flaunting his impressive muscles in the resort’s outdoor gym.

Like her hubby, Jac enjoys keeping active – but you’re unlikely to find her and Dan working up a sweat together like some celeb couples.

“Running around after kids can be enough exercise as it is,” Jac joked last year.

Revealing how she keeps her fab figure in such great shape, the actress said it’s about finding an activity you enjoy.

“I love going on walks with the dogs,” she said. “My top tip would be to find something you love, because if you want to do it, you’ll make time for it.

“I’ve recently got into Zumba and love it, so at the moment that is a staple in my diary. I try to plan ahead and book the classes a week in advance so I know I’m committed to it.”

The couple’s sunshine getaway proves just how far they have come over the past decade.

Jac and Dan first met 11 years ago at an awards ceremony, before going on to have their first daughter, Ella, two years later in 2015.

After Dan popped the question in Greece, the couple threw a star-studded wedding bash at a luxury Cheshire manor house in 2017.

But their marriage soon hit a bump in the road and the pair briefly separated after it was rumoured Dan had an affair with Love Island star Gabby Allen, 32 – an accusation they both denied.

Happily, Jac and Dan managed to patch up their differences and last month she paid tribute to her husband on Instagram, writing, “Just realised I haven’t even posted on the grid about Daniel’s birthday or our anniversary and I just wanted to do a little appreciation post for my bestest friend in the world.

“Over 10 years and seven of them married. Love you more than ever. Crazy little world isn’t it.”

Clearly in a reflective mood as her idyllic break came to an end, Jac shared a touching Instagram post that read, “The goal isn’t a big house and all of the things everyone else has. It’s a heart and soul filled with memories and experiences with those you love, a head full of stories to tell future generations, a life full of simplicity and freedom to live a life you love.”

It sounds like her sun-soaked summer holiday has done her the world of good.
