Over the years George Clarke has become known for his passion for architecture and ability to breathe new life into the dullest of spaces. As the presenter of shows including Old House, New Home, Amazing Spaces and Remarkable Renovations, 50 year old George certainly knows a thing or two about property.

But away from our TV screens, George is in a relationship with partner Florence Hvorostovsky and the pair have been together since 2022. Speaking to OK! about his recent milestone birthday, George revealed that he spent the day with his opera singer and pianist partner as well as his children.

“I had a very quiet birthday, intentionally quiet. I literally spent my birthday day with my kids, my partner and her kids, my mum, a couple of my best friends and their wives,” he said. “There were 12 of us. It was a good lunch and that’s all I did. Everybody expected me to do a big massive party but you know what, I couldn't be bothered.”

In the past, George has opened up about his love life and once revealed in an interview with the Big Issue that he wasn’t “the best person to talk to” when it came to love. “On relationships, I'm probably not the best person to talk to because I've been divorced twice. So it's not easy,” he said.

Prior to his relationship with Florence, George married animator and art director Catriona Drummond in 2009 and the pair share three children together - Georgie, 19, Emilio, 17, and Iona, 15.

Sadly Catriona’s brother Swiggy died from brain cancer at the age of 39. In tribute to his former brother-in-law, George carried the Olympic torch in 2012 on his behalf. “I was proud to carry the Olympic torch on behalf of my brother-in-law, Swiggy Drummond, who died recently from cancer,” he explained, the Mirror reports.

Meanwhile, George also revealed that he once whisked Catriona away to Rome where he treated her to some diamonds. “I remember saying to the shop assistant, ‘I need to buy some diamonds,’” he said.

“And wow, do they give you the royal treatment. I was slightly scared. They're all in these white gloves and they take you upstairs to a private area. I bought her a necklace and some earrings. All the blokes in the couples we'd made friends with at the hotel were really annoyed. They were like, 'Thanks. We're going to have to do that now!'”

Sadly after four years of marriage the couple called time on their relationship in 2013. Five years later, George tied the knot to his second wife, Katie Morgan Jones, in a ceremony in Ibiza and the pair moved into a home in the Cotswolds.

“I also have a place in London, but home is in the Cotswolds now. I have quite a nomadic life - I travel a lot and spend on average three nights a week in hotels - so I take every opportunity I can to get home,” the TV personality told The Times in 2020.

In February 2022 George confirmed that he and Kate had gone their separate ways and in July 2022 he went public with Florence.
