If you've had a Succession-shaped hole in your life ever since the series ended in 2023, then you need to get into BBC One's Industry.

The third series airs next week, so if you're yet to get stuck into the TV drama, now is the perfect time to catch up just in time for season 3. Trust us, it's what everyone's going to be talking about next week.

Not least because Game Of Thrones star Kit Harrington joins the cast for season 3.

"After a few years of not having a proper, season-long arc as a character on a TV show I was like, ‘I miss that. I want to do that again,'" says Kit. "My agent came back to me and said, ‘Do you watch Industry?’ I did. I love the show."

Speaking of being a fan of the show, he added: "It had this energy to it and tonally it felt very different to anything I had seen before... I love that it doesn't allow you to stop — it just pummels you with these incredibly complex words and sentences that you have no idea what they mean… and it just requires you to keep up. All of those things made me think it was incredibly original."

Here's everything you need to know about series 3 of Industry.

What is Industry about?

Set shortly after the 2008 financial crash, the series follows a group of young finance graduates as they climb the ladder at a fictional prestigious investment bank in London called Pierpoint & Co.

Written by two former investment bankers, the series shows the highly competitive and cut-throat world of banking in all its scandalous glory. Throw in a dash of heady office romances set to a backdrop of billions of pounds, and you've got yourself an incredibly alluring, binge-worthy show.

What happens in series 3 of Industry?

In season 3, Pierpoint is looking to take a big bet on ethical investing, and so gets involved in headline-grabbing green tech energy company Lumi, which is led by the British aristocrat Sir Henry Muck, "the embodiment of ‘old money’ privilege."

We'll also see what ex-Pierpoint employee (and newly unemployed) Harper gets up to in a post-Pierpoint world.

On being cast as Henry, Kit said: 'They told me about Henry Muck and I went, ‘I know that guy. I've met that guy.’"

He described his character Henry as "a rather privileged young man from the English aristocracy who comes into the story as the CEO of a green energy startup called Lumi. Pierpoint and particularly Harry’s character Robert, are helping Henry launch Lumi as an IPO. Henry has all the best intentions, and thinks he is doing the right and the good thing for the planet.
