'I'm a sleep obsessed shopping editor and these are my picks from the Simba Black Friday sale'

As someone who writes about health and fitness for a living, I've been fascinated by sleep for as long as I can remember. Specifically, a fascination with how I can get more of it.
For years, I was fine with getting about five hours a night. After learning more, however, about the health benefits of prioritising sleep, I made a change. Over time my mood, workout recovery, and energy levels all markedly improved, and I vowed to treat sleep with the same level of seriousness I treat my other wellness habits.
As part of this journey, I've upgraded quite a few of my sleep products, and almost all of them have been Simba. I'm lucky enough to try out a lot of different brands as part of my role as Ecommerce Editor, and Simba has firmly secured itself a place as one of my all-time favourites.
Is Cyber Monday a good time to shop at Simba?
Simba does sales fairly frequently, but the one the brand is doing for Cyber Monday is a cut above the rest, with most of our favourite products having their prices slashed.

Simba Hybrid Ultra mattress
After years of sleeping on ancient rental mattresses, earlier this year I moved into an unfurnished place and treated myself to a major upgrade: The Simba Hybrid Ultra mattress.
Currently the most luxurious mattress in the Simba range, it managed to surpass my (very high) expectations.
As I mentioned in the intro, I've been testing Simba products for years, and I've yet to try one that's missed the mark.
Since getting this mattress, I've slept in beds in 5-star hotels that have paled in comparison to this masterpiece of a mattress. It's an impressive 34cm deep (warning, you may need a deeper fitted sheet) and has a whopping 7,300 springs that support you while you sleep.
Simba Hybrid® Pro Mattress
One of the brand's best sellers, the Hybrid Pro has been a fan-favourite from Simba for years now. Offered as a step up from the original Hybrid mattress that's not as expensive as the Ultra or the Luxe, this is a great mid-range mattress.
The breathable wool top layer helps to regulate body temperature, which is great for hot sleepers. It is also made with Simba's iconic Hybrid method: a mix of springs and memory foam that is comfortable, supportive and medium-firm.
Simba Hybrid® Duvet
I've been sleeping with this duvet for about three years now, and I've never once had the urge to stray.
The perfect year-round duvet, it's warm but still breathable and feels luxurious. In summer, it never feels stifling, and in winter it keeps me cosy all night long. What more could you want from a duvet?
Simba Melrose Bed
Anyone who lives in London (or any major city) knows that storage space in the poky flats can be a nightmare. As someone with slightly hoarder-like tendencies, this ottoman bed frame has been a game changer.
With one lift of the bed, I have a whole 768 litres of space to play with. I keep all my shoes and winter coats under my bed and still have plenty of room left over.
The bed is also quite high off the ground which gives it a luxurious feel I'm a big fan of, and the upholstered finish has given my room a touch of a 5-star hotel which I'm also partial to.
Simba Hybrid® Pillow
I'd never spent more than £20 on a pillow before I switched to this Simba one, and until trying it I would've said a fancy pillow was a waste of money.
Oh how wrong I was.
The Simba hybrid pillow is stuffed with cubes of soft foam, which can be removed so the height is better suited to your preference. I took about 1/3 of the cubes and it's now the exact right height for me.
Simba Hybrid Firm Pillow
If you prefer a more firm pillow, this iteration is better suited to you. While the original Hybrid is my personal favourite, some find it a bit too soft to be supportive.
This one is still adjustable like the original but is made with a layer of springs so it feels far more sturdy.
What is Black Friday and Cyber Monday?
Black Friday started in the US a few decades ago, taking place the day after Thanksgiving and marking the beginning of the festive shopping season. It used to be an in-store event for one day only, but the popularity of the sale (and the growth of online shopping) now means Black Friday sales start earlier in November, and the sales primarily take place online.
Cyber Monday was originally supposed to be the online afterthought to Black Friday sales, but since then has evolved to the being a general part of the sales period.
When is Black Friday and Cyber Monday?
The official Black Friday sale kicked off on Friday the 29th of November, but the Simba sale kicked off early and the discounts are well and truly underway. You can take a look at the full sale online here.
