'Hysterical' Wedding Fail Ends with Surprise Double Rainbow: 'As If the Universe Had Paused for Us' (Exclusive)
"In the end, it felt like it was always meant to happen this way," the bride tells PEOPLE
Unexpected weather and a wedding processional mistake made one couple's wedding day all the more memorable.
Savannah and James Sullivan's wedding ceremony on Aug. 2, 2024 at The Japanese Gardens at Lauxmont Farms in Wrightsville, Pa., didn't go quite as planned. Not only did it suddenly begin pouring rain, but their young flower girl, Myla, and ring bearer, Graham, accidentally went the wrong way during the wedding processional.
"I thought my cousins walking in the wrong direction was hysterical," the bride tells PEOPLE.
A video of the funny mixup was filmed by a woman named Alexandria and posted by the wedding venue on TikTok. The clip now has more than 200,000 views and nearly 10,000 likes.

"When the ring bearer and flower girl skip the ceremony and head straight for the cake," Lauxmont Farms wrote on-screen, adding in the caption, "They had other plans 🤷🏻♀️."
The Lauxmont Farms team clarified to PEOPLE that Myla and Graham weren't actually heading for the two-tier wedding cake baked by Bailey Kramer. They simply got confused.
"Of course, no wedding is complete without a few funny moments!" the Lauxmont Farms team says. "During their first ceremony attempt, the bride’s cousins accidentally walked in the wrong direction. The ring bearer’s dad (Brad Steiger) — who also happened to be the DJ and the flower girl’s uncle — was DJing the music, which led to some unexpected detours. But in the end, everything worked out perfectly on their second try."

Moments after Myla and Graham took a right turn away from the aisle, a sudden downpour soaked all of the wedding guests. Everyone rushed inside the reception tent, waiting for the storm to pass.

About 15 minutes later, Myla and Graham would get a second chance at the wedding processional because the rain cleared and left behind a "breathtaking" double rainbow.
“It was as if the universe had paused for us, ensuring that this moment would be even more beautiful than we had imagined," Savannah says.
"Walking down the aisle to the love of my life, with the rainbows overhead was truly unforgettable," she adds. "The view was stunning and the timing was perfect, and in the end, it felt like it was always meant to happen this way."
