Huge 00s pop star leaves fans gobsmacked as they pose with grown up sons
A 90s pop legend has left fans gobsmacked after showing how grown up his twin boys are.
Westlife star Nicky Byrne and his wife Georgina had a busy weekend as they celebrated the 17th birthday of their twin boys Jay and Rocco.
For many fans, it seemed like just yesterday since the couple welcomed their sons, but in a picture shared from their birthday bash, they are beginning to tower over their famous dad.
Nicky took to social media to wish them a happy birthday as he proudly stood next to his lookalike sons.
The doting dad told fans: “Our boys turned 17 years old today. Turning into two amazing young men!! We are so proud of you @jay.byrne7 @roccobyrne14 @georginaahernbyrne.”
Many fans, including Irish football star Shay Given, were quick to wish the teenagers a Happy Birthday. The former goalkeeper penned: “Happy birthday lads, great day to be born.”
Fans also shared their shock at how quickly the boys had grown up, with one person penning: “What? How? Sorry! I’ve just blinked!!! The happiest birthday!! Blessings.”
Another wrote: “Wow!!! Happy birthday to Rocco & Jay, can’t believe they’re 17 already!!!!!!”
A third penned: “I can’t believe that they’re already grown up, they’re such good kids, they learned it from you, you’re an excellent and the best dad of all‼️.”
“17 years already, time flies. You look like three brothers in this photo,” added a fourth.
It comes as Nicky renewed his wedding vows with wife Georgina last year after 20 years of marriage.
The couple who met when they were just 12 years old hosted the celebration of their nuptials at their Dublin home.
Nicky told fans the news by posting photos of the celebration on Instagram, writing: "Summer House Party and we tied the knot again!!"
The loved-up couple got married in France on 5 August 2003, with the wedding party including Nicky’s brother Adam, Georgina’s author sister Cecelia, and her father Bertie.
The star-studded wedding at the Church of St Peter and St Paul in the picturesque village of Gallardon in France was attended by the likes of Girls Aloud stars Nadine Coyle and Kimberley Walsh, as well as Ronan Keating, Kerry Katona, Louis Walsh, and Yvonne Connolly.
Earlier this year, Nicky highlighted their 20th wedding anniversary on Instagram as he shared a throwback video from their special day.
The video showed the newlyweds both dressed in white leaving the church while being showered in confetti followed by Boyzone star Ronan singing I Love The Way You Love Me alongside a piano in church.
