Hollyoaks star gives birth to second baby as she shares first pic and beautiful name
Hollyoaks star Amy Maghera has revealed she's given birth to her second baby - and has chosen the name Kaya for her daughter.
The actress shared an adorable black-and-white shot of herself in her hospital bed with her newborn in her arms. In her caption, Amy wrote: "Kaya Lana Taub."
Amy, who welcomed her first baby just 18 months ago with her husband Ethan Taub, announced they were expecting their second daughter with a photo of their baby scan in January.
She captioned the snap with: "Here we go again! The feet of my second babe. If anyone has any advice with how to raise two kiddos so close in age please let me know. Let the madness continue."
After announcing the birth of her second daughter, her Hollyoaks co-stars rushed to congratulate Amy. Nikki Sanderson, who plays Maxine Minniver wrote: "Congratulations" and Stephanie Waring (Cindy Cunningham) inserted a string of heart emojis in the comments section.
Meanwhile, ex-cast members Amanda Clapham (Holly Cunningham) wrote: "Congratulations beautiful" and Jacqueline Boatswain (Simone Loveday) added: "Oh congratulations sweetie".
Rachel Adedeji (Lisa Loveday) who appeared in the soap from 2016-2020 commented: "Well done baby! Congratulations my love xx".
Amy and Ethan's first daughter, Aurora Safari Taub, was born at the end of 2022. In a post Amy made in May, she said she was spending quality time with Aurora before her little sister arrived.
Along with a clips of the family enjoying days out, Amy penned: "Some moments from the last 18 incredible months of Aurora, before the new little madam arrives!
"What a joyous rollercoaster it has been and continues to be. I am so lucky that I get to be your Mum and love you more than I ever could have imagined."
Amy first appeared on the E4 soap Hollyoaks in 2015 playing school teacher Neeta Kaur. Her character was involved in a very controversial storylines which saw her embark on a secret relationship with Hunter McQueen (Theo Graham) who at the time was only a teenager and one of her pupils.
At the time, Neeta was also embroiled in a bitter court battle storyline with her abusive fiancé Mac Nightingale (David Easter).
Amy left the soap in 2017 and her character had a very tragic end. Neeta was caught up in an explosion at Hollyoaks High that was caused by Mac. As she was trying to escape, Neeta fell through the floor. Mac caught her, but as Neeta confessed her love for Hunter, Mac let her go and Neeta plummeted to her death.
