She regularly wows This Morning viewers with her stylish daytime outfits, but Holly Willoughby ensured she still impressed in evening wear for an appearance on The Jonathan Ross Show.

The TV star, 40, wowed fans in a long-sleeved, fringed minidress while promoting her new book Reflections on the programme on Saturday night.

In a post on Instagram, the mother-of-three showed off the chic navy, tailored frock – by Italian brand Blazé Milano – which featured a belted waist and black beaded fringing along the hem.

She finished off the head-turning look with strappy black heels by Stuart Weitzman, and layered necklaces from her Wylde Moon collaboration with jeweller Kirstie Le Marque.

Willoughby's ensemble went down well with social media users, who left more than 55,000 'likes' on the images.

In the comments section, her dress was described as "beautiful" and "gorgeous".

Costing £1,165, the blazer-style frock – which is currently sold out – is described online as being inspired by the flappers of the 1920s.

The label was founded by three Italian friends, Corrada Rodriguez D’Acri, Delfina Pinardi and Maria Sole Torlonia, who met while working at the magazine Elle Italia.

Willoughby featured on The Jonathan Ross Show alongside stars including Usain Bolt, Joanna Lumley and Jamie Dornan.

In a post on Instagram ahead of her appearance to discuss Reflections, she said: "This book is quite simply a piece of myself that I wanted to share with you in hope that it resonates with you and starts a conversation with yourself."

It's not the first time the star has made a serious fashion statement of late, after modelling what has been declared the animal print dress of the season.

She described the frock, from Marks & Spencer's collaboration with Ghost, as "perfect" for Christmas celebrations.
