Hilary Cass: Ideology on all sides directed gender care of children

NHS adult gender services in England will undergo a major review after the doctor behind a long-awaited report on children’s services said teenagers are “falling off a cliff edge” in their care when they reach 17. The announcement came as the Cass Review’s final report said children have been let down by a lack of research and evidence on medical interventions in gender care, in a debate which it said has become exceptionally toxic.
