The Apple Blue, Balham
Nearest tube station: Balham
Where to find them: 212 Balham High Rd, London SW12 9BS
We order: The kefir fried chicken sarnie is life changing
A Balham institution that often sees a queue form down the street on a mid-Saturday morning (this is your warning to get there early as they don't take reservations) but for good reason. First the pastries - we're talking big croissants, with flavours changing often, and secondly the mains with the menu currently featuring drool worthy meals including the English Muff, which includes spicy hash brown, maple bacon, chipotle ketchup, strong cheddar and fried egg in an English muffin. YUM.

Yauatcha City
Nearest tube station: Liverpool Street
Where to find them: Broadgate, City of London, EC2M 2QS
We order: Don't leave without trying a Tales Of Negroni cocktail
There’s just some restaurants that give Sex and The City. And Yauatcha City is one of them. I wish I’d worn my best Manolos (/I wish I owned Manolos) to indulge in the Infinite Yum Cha Brunch, which serves unlimited steamed, fried and baked dim sum. The vegetarian menu was just as varied and delicious as the meat option (a rarity, as most veggies will testify) and we may have ordered a few more Tales Of Negroni cocktails after getting hooked on the smoky, unique and grown-up flavour of our first.

The Little Violet Door, Carnaby
Nearest tube station: Oxford Circus
Where to find them: 9 Kingly St, Carnaby, London W1B 5PH
We order: The buttermilk pancakes with Blackcurrants, Torched Peach, Rose and Peach Syrup with Creme Fraiche
The Little Violet Door is the latest branch of the various-coloured-door hot spots popping up across London. Each of its branches is styled to look like you’re dining at a kooky flatshare, with loads of shared dining spaces which often times bring you together with strangers.
The experience makes up a huge part of the experience here, but the food and drink impresses, also. As mentioned, the pancakes are stunning, and so is the classique brunch dish of poached eggs on toast. It comes with three options, one of which coming with Bacon, Guacamole, Oyster Mushrooms, Aleppo Red Chilli Flakes and Coriander, making it that little bit more elevated than your average avocado and bacon on toast.
The bottomless offering has Aprerol Spritzers included, as well as a very strong rum punch, rose, larger or prosexy, and we could mix & match these too, as we fancied. The bottomless drinks are charged as £25 on top of whatever brunch dish you opt for, which are surprisingly incredibly cheap for the central London location, starting from only £9.50 (a dragonfruit granola bowl) with the most expensive item standing at £13.50 (the smoked salmon, poached eggs & avo on sourdough).

Mama Shelter, Bethnal Green
Nearest tube station: Bethnal Green (or Cambridge Heath, Hoxton on the Overground)
Where to find them: 437 Hackney Rd, London E2 8PP
We order: Smoked salmon royale, veggie benedict, avocado on toast
Mama Shelter is the perfect answer to a more relaxed-yet-sophisticated bottomless brunch. It's cool and effortless interiors means its the perfect place to get a little boozy with your best mates, and still feel cool while doing it. The plush sofas with cushions galore, painted ceilings, and wide open space are very East London, and are home to not only bottomless-brunchers, but also weekend-laptop-warriors, families meeting for a coffee, and groups of ladies celebrating bdays (not to mention they're dog friendly).
The food was easily the star of the show here. Hefty portions of the salmon royale were delicious (and so necessary for soaking up the free flowing bubbles) , and each dish came with the most perfectly cooked french fries - think McDonald's but better. One thing to note is that this is not the best place for any vegan diners as the choices are slim to none. One member of our party was stuck only with avocado on toast (which was not even on the brunch menu intially). If you've drank enough of their bottomless mimosas, then you may be tempted to book one of their karaoke rooms too...
