The Gilded Age is back for season 2 on HBO and "Max," the "place to watch HBO" (what was wrong with HBO Max??) this September. The Gilded Age, from the creator of Downton Abbey, takes all the high drama over minutiae and society chatter from that show and places it in a world where money can trump family if you work hard and believe in yourself: New York City. Social climbing is a way of life! The more you watch, the more you realize that the conflict on Gossip Girl has been going on for decades. If the proverbial walls of Central Park could talk! At least we have the The Gilded Age, which dramatizes the lives of a few historical socialites and prominent figures along with its original characters, to help us imagine.
When does The Gilded Age season 2 premiere?
The show’s not spooky, unless your biggest fear is the nouveau riche, but it is premiering smack dab in the middle of the spooky season. The Gilded Age returns for season 2 on October 29, 2023 on HBO and Max at 9 p.m. EST/PST.
How many episodes of The Gilded Age are there in Season 2?
While the first season had nine episodes running 46-80 minutes, according to Variety the second season will only have eight episodes. Fingers crossed that at least one of them is extra long.
When does the next episode of The Gilded Age air/drop?
Every episode airs on Sundays at 9 p.m. EST/PST on HBO, and drops simultaneously on Max. It's not too difficult to clear your schedule and keep up with the period piece. There also won't be any batch releases as far as we know. The Gilded Age will air one episode week to week until the season finale in December.
