Let’s Applaud Helen Mirren For Wearing The Same Dolce & Gabbana Dress Three Times

It’s lovely to see a celebrity who loves a red carpet ensemble so much that she’s happy to wear it more than once, as Helen Mirren has done with her beloved Dolce & Gabbana dress.
The doodle-covered £2,300 designer frock, which floated down the Italian label’s AW15 catwalk in March this year and echoes Angelina Jolie’s wedding veil, has been worn by the British actress a total of three times this year - and we want to applaud her for it.

Too often celebs are condemned for repeating red carpet looks, but if the get-up suits them and they love wearing it then who cares if they’re spotted in it more than once?
Mirren’s dress might not be to everyone’s taste but clearly she’s a big fan of the quirky print. The actress has long been a devotee of Dolce & Gabbana, although she tends to don glamorous gowns from the label in block colours and lace, rather than the brassier prints that the Italian designers are renowned for.
This particular frock is just one dress featuring scribbles done by the duo’s nieces and nephews. The brand’s AW15 collection included a number of other similar styles, modelled on the catwalk by models and their children.
Mirren, however, has always chosen to accessorise her dress with boxy bags and block colour heels - not a child.

The 70-year-old star donned the frock for last night’s Gotham Independent Film Awards in New York, which was attended by a whole host of celebs.
For the occasion, she teamed her dress with orange suede heels and huge purple earrings.
