Helen Mirren looks fabulous in a show-stopping purple gown
Dame Helen Mirren looked incredible in a statement purple gown at the Golden Globe Awards 2024 on Sunday, 7 January.
Taking to the red carpet, the 78-year-old actress looked phenomenal in her chosen outfit choice — a gorgeous gown in a light purple hue. Helen's dress was a show-stopper; sporting a traditional gown look with a ruched bodice and floor-skimming length — yet adding a fabulous twist by also incorporating a dramatic cape. Designed by Italian design house, Dolce & Gabbana, Helen looked fabulous in the gown as she walked the red carpet.
Needless to say, the star opted to accessorise perfectly with a diamond necklace and chandelier earrings. She also chose a gorgeous beauty look — wearing her silver hair in an elegant updo. The esteemed actress kept her makeup minimal but glowy, with a pop of pink blush and a pink lip that co-ordinated with her outfit.
Throughout the evening, Helen was seen spending time with a whole host of famous faces. In one sweet snap, she smiled as she sat alongside legendary actor, Harrison Ford. Sitting next to one another, Harrison looked smart in a tuxedo with a sharp black bow-tie.
The 81st Annual Golden Globe Awards took place at the Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, California, on Sunday 7 January. The awards span across a huge range of categories honouring film and television including categories such as best actress/actor, best picture, best original song and cinematic and box office achievement — to name a few.
