Harry and Meghan are a perfect example of modern dating
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex celebrate their one year wedding anniversary in May and are awaiting the arrival of their first child in April.
But the way in which their romance blossomed isn’t too dissimilar to us mere mortals. Harry and Meghan were set up by a mutual friend on a blind date in summer 2016 and the pair met up whenever they could inbetween their busy schedules.
There were reports at the time that Harry was began following Meghan on Instagram after their first date using a secret account with a pseudonym.

Omid Scobie tells Yahoo UK‘s ‘The Royal Box‘: “A lot of their early days were spent sort of texting and DMing back and forth.
“Harry loves to use an emoji apparently, a lot of emojis.”

Before Meghan closed down her own personal social media accounts, there were several posts that appeared to hint she was in a new relationship, notably a photo of two bananas cuddling with the caption “Sleep tight xx.”
The couple made their public debut together at the Invictus Games Toronto in September 2017 and their engagement was announced just a couple of months after.
