Meghan Markle wears top named the 'husband shirt' for PDA-packed appearance with Prince Harry

Fans watching the opening ceremony of the Invictus Games on Saturday were left disappointed after seeing Prince Harry sitting metres away from his girlfriend of over a year, Meghan Markle.

Instead, the royal was left sitting next to First Lady Melania Trump while Meghan enjoyed the games with her best friend.

But Monday’s events saw a different story. The royal couple arrived at a wheelchair tennis match together and holding hands.

Greeting fans, the pair sat together for the entire match, packing on the PDA by leaning in to talk to each other numerous times.

The actress proved she’s not quite ready to settle down into royal life, choosing to wear a casual look of a white shirt and ripped blue jeans for the match. Naturally, Meghan’s jeans will have to remain hole-free if she joins the royal family for good.

After the couple stepped out in public together for the very first time, bookmakers Ladbrokes suspended all betting on a royal engagement, leading many to believe that the announcement will come very soon.

Back to Meghan’s outfit. Funnily enough, her £220 shirt by designer friend Misha Nonoo was called ‘The Husband’, sparking even more engagement rumours.

Wearing £120 Finlay & Co sunglasses and £367 tan leather shoes by Sarah Flint, Meghan finished off the look with a £122 matching leather tote by affordable brand Everlane.

Meghan and Harry were seen greeting teenage fans with the ‘Suits’ star getting the chance to practice her royal handshake.

One teenager told the Daily Mail how she’d overheard Harry explaining the Invictus tennis rules to his partner.

‘It was amazing, really amazing. They were watching the game and cheering on my stepdad,” 16-year-old Olivia Kornal said. “They were absolutely lovely, they asked me if I enjoyed the game and who I was cheering on.”

Prepare for more royal action in Toronto as the Invictus Games doesn’t wrap up until 30 September.
