Hannah and Daniel Neeleman Share Quiet New Year's Celebrations with Their Family

Hannah Neeleman and her family spent their New Year's Eve on the farm.

The 34-year-old shared a throwback video from 2024 on her Instagram Story on Jan 1, where she wished everyone a "Happy new year" and a video of her "drinking a castor oil smoothie to get labor going with [her daughter] Flora Jo."

Neeleman previously gave birth to her youngest daughter — and eighth child — on Jan. 2, 2024, before she famously competed in the Mrs. World pageant in Las Vegas 12 days later.

Meanwhile, Hannah's husband Daniel Neeleman, 35, shared glimpses into their family New Year's Eve celebration on his Instagram Stories, which was spent on the dairy farm with their kids. In the videos shared on Dec. 31, he and the kids cleaned, fed and milked the cows together. One of the videos also featured Daniel singing while he fed the cows and was captioned "if you love your cows, you sing to them."

Hannah Neeleman — who first started posting online as Ballerina Farm in 2017 — coped with many ups and downs throughout 2024. This year, the mom of eight balanced motherhood with navigating the media scrutiny she faced after her controversial profile in the U.K.'s The Sunday Times.

In her interview with PEOPLE as one of 2024's Creators of the Year, she spoke out about how she dealt with people's opinions on her lifestyle and leaned on her husband Daniel to cope with the criticism.

"Daniel, my husband, is so good at just being a steady rock and just being that constant for me," she said. "He doesn't ever get entangled with the ups and downs [of] social media. He's just like, 'No, we're doing our thing. It's not about them, it's about us and we're going to keep doing what we love and sharing.'"

Amidst her challenges, Neeleman witnessed how much her fans and community truly cared for her and how they stepped up to show it throughout this year.

"It was just overwhelming, the amount of community and love, because my life is shared online and these were really big experiences that a lot of people had experienced with me and been on the journey with me," she shared.

"I feel like those two experiences, the extremes of both life and death, were really big for me, and it was evident in the audience and community that I had built being part of that."
