When Bella and Gigi Hadid step out these days, it’s typically to strut down a runway or party with their gaggle of famous fashion friends. But with the end of Paris Fashion Week, the sisters traveled to New York to lend some familial support at the Global Lyme Alliance Gala on Thursday where their mother, Yolanda Foster, was being honored. Gigi, wearing a white strapless Tommy Hilfiger Collection gown (the designer himself was also in attendance — his daughter Ally suffers from the condition) walked her first red carpet with boyfriend Joe Jonas, while Bella stuck close to her 16-year-old brother Anwar.
As the Realy Housewives of Beverly Hills star revealed in her speech, her aforementioned children were both diagnosed with Lyme in 2012. “Watching my babies struggle in silence in order to support me in my journey, struck the deepest core of hopelessness inside of me,” Foster revealed. “This award is for Anwar and Bella. This is my token and my promise to you that I will not allow you to live a life of pain and suffering. I will walk to the end of the earth to find a cure so that you can live a healthy life that you deserve.”
