My Tear Ducts Are Broken After I Spent All Night Crying Laughing Over These 26 Tweets About Americans On RedNote

By now, I'm sure you've heard that Americans are flocking to RedNote, a Chinese social media app that largely mirrors Instagram, Reels, and TikTok.

The migration is primarily due to the US government's move to ban TikTok for users on Jan. 19, citing fear that the app — owned by the China-based parent company ByteDance — could create an opening for China to spy on US users.

So, because US citizens potentially need a new place to scroll and are vengeful over the US government taking away one of their favorite apps, Americans are signing up for RedNote (partially out of spite and partially because it seems really fun over there, TBH).
