H&M's £37.99 sequin slingback heels are our party shoes of the season
Stylish Christmas party dresses always grab our attention over the festive period, but if you ask us, it's the shoes that can really make an outfit at this time of year. So, we've been on the lookout for the best party shoes of the season and we've found our favourite high-street pair on H&M's shelves.
Ideal for adding a sprinkling of festive glitz to any look, the brand's sequinned slingback heels are most definitely coming home with us. The silver iteration are new, following the sell-out success of the champagne-coloured pair (size 2 is still available!), and bound to draw in endless compliments at any event you wear them to.
Slingbacks have been enjoying a moment in the fashion spotlight as one of this year's biggest shoe trends, but it's mainly been classic black or on-trend burgundy styles dominating shops. These H&M sequin heels are the first of their kind we've spotted, making them a great buy if you're after something a little different, but still Christmassy, to make an entrance in.
Better still, we also love wearing sequins in summer when they sparkle under sunlight. So, we'll be wearing our H&M slingbacks over the festive period – they'll look amazing with silver trousers and a 'nice top' – before bringing them out again for weddings and garden parties in 2025.

Try teaming them with your favourite knitted dress or slip dress, layered under a blazer for a dressier look, or with jeans and an oversized jumper to tone things down. Come summer, just add a floaty dress and big sunglasses.
