Grace Coddington has stepped down from her position as creative director of US Vogue, after almost 30 years at the magazine.
But the 74-year-old won’t be parting ways with the fashion bible and her pal Anna Wintour for good as she’s set to resume a jammy “at-large” title, and is simply scaling back her responsibilities.
The fashion legend will still be spotted at fashion shows and will continue to style at least four editorials a year for the publication. Plus, she’ll keep an office at the mag’s HQ for when she feels like popping in for a powwow with her former colleagues.
Coddington’s adjustment doesn’t mean she’s slowing down. Instead, she’s embarking on a number of commercial projects that includes developing a fragrance with with Comme des Garçons.
“I’m certainly not going into retirement,” she told Business of Fashion. “I don’t want to sit around.”

Coddington’s become something of an icon since stepping out from behind the scenes in the 2009 documentary “The September Issue”.
In 2012, she turned her hand to writing a memoir titled “Grace”, which is now set to become a film.
She’s also known for her love of cats (aren’t we all) and her quirky cartoons, which she published in her 2006 book “Catwalk Cats” – and got her kicked off Instagram in 2014.
