Consummate professional Kate Garraway had to apologise to Good Morning Britain viewers this morning after experiencing a "crisis" live on-air. During the latest episode on Friday, 21 June, with Kate and co-host Adil Ray at the helm, an unexpected moment occurred when Kate experienced an unfortunate hair mishap - and it was all caught on camera.

After discussing the latest political dramas in the build-up the General Election, the camera returned to Kate and Adil in the studio - and Kate was seen with her hand in her hair, appearing to struggle with something out of place.

Caught off-guard, she confessed: "I'm sorry. I'm having a hair crisis if I'm going to be honest! ".

Adil then stood up to to come to the aid of his GMB colleague. He inspected her hair as she laughed and Adil remarked: "Let me just check.", reports the Daily Star.

"Yeah, yeah all fine. It looks like what it normally looks like," he joked, rolling his eyes before sitting back down. Still laughing, Kate responded: "It flustered me for a moment, but I'm back! ".

In other GMB updates, yesterday's show (Thursday, 20 June) took a rather risqué turn when a group of naked individuals appeared on screen - making Susanna Reid squirm and quickly cover her eyes.

Susanna and Adil caught up with Lorraine Kelly, to find out what was coming up on her show. In addition to interviewing Gavin and Stacey star Ruth Jones, Lorraine was set to chat with attendees of a nude festival in the UK.

Lorraine couldn't help but giggle as she informed her fellow hosts: "We are live from Nude Fest. Yes there is a nude fest in the UK. What could possibly go wrong? "

Viewers were then treated to footage of the festival attendees - all in their birthday suits - showing off their musical skills. However, a strategically placed sticker was all that was required to keep the segment within acceptable morning TV standards.

Earlier this week Kate announced a surprising career switch, revealing she was set to maker her drama debut in ITV's new show, Douglas is Cancelled.

Kate will play herself and joins a star-studded cast of Ben Miles, Nick Mohammed, Karen Gillan and Alex Kingston.

The four-parter is written by Sherlock creator Steven Moffat, and stars Hugh Bonneville as Douglas - a respected newsreader who's career hangs in the balance after he's overheard making a sexist joke at a wedding.
