Gerard Butler Just Shaved His Beard
Gerard Butler: actor, Irishman, dog lover, and now pogonophile. In a video posted to Instagram, Butler takes us on an emotional rollercoaster as he is forced to shave his beloved beard.
“So here I am about to... What do you call this? Shave? Shave my beard off after a year of having it on,” Butler tells his Instagram viewers. “I’m totally depressed. I’ve also got to cut my hair but I am gonna shave my beard to do some additional photography on Hunter Killer. I’ve literally had this since last December."
The 47-year-old actor continued to explain just how hard it was for him to shave. "It’s been way longer than this too and I am totally depressed,” said Butler.
Then, just like the inspiring makeover of a America's Next Top Model contestant, the transformation began and the fake tears came pouring.
“Oh my god! Ah! Oh no! Oh my god, look at this. Gone, gone, gone!" cried Butler as he removed the hair. You can see all the drama ensue in the Instagram video Butler posted below.

A quick scan through the Twitter mentions and Instagram comments shows that Butler's fans seem to approve. Emoji hearts and happy faces were common, with one user sending (maybe too much) love for Butler. "Beard or no beard, I'd still have your babies."
