We only have just two more days until Christmas, which means it is almost time to eat and be merry with your loved ones - if you aren't already.

After the festivities, many of us might find that we need to pop to the shops for essentials such as milk, bread, or even for the Boxing Day sales. However, as has been the case for a few years now, it might not be that simple.

With many retailers and supermarkets closing on Christmas Day, it's worth knowing that not all of them re-open on December 26. Many made the decision to remain shut until December 27 during the first Coronavirus pandemic in 2020 and have kept up the tradition.

Even though it's not all stores that remain closed, it can still be worth knowing exactly what firm's won't officially be open for business on the day after Christmas this year so you can plan well ahead of schedule, just in case you need to pop out for a spell.

Which is exactly why we have provided below the full list of supermarkets and retailers remaining closed on December 26 this year, and you can expect them to reopen.
