Frequent fliers say these 'comfy and chic' sneakers are a must for every trip
In my humble opinion, there is just one thing that everyone needs in their fashion arsenal, and that's a comfy pair of white sneakers that you can wear all day long — especially while traveling. But finding that perfect pair of kicks to bring on a trip is tricky. Not only do they need to be comfortable enough to wear on a plane and walk for miles in, but you need to be able to pair them with a dozen different outfits without sacrificing style.
Well, one night I was mindlessly scrolling through social media before bed (as one does) and came across what my shopping Facebook group deemed to be the "ultimate" travel sneaker. Basically, one (very kind) member said they were done gatekeeping the Universal Thread Persephone Sneakers from Target and the world needed to know about them — and dozens of commenters responded saying they, too, loved taking them along on their adventures. Obviously, I immediately clicked the link and was thrilled to find that not only were they cute, they could be mine for less than $50.
These puppies are simple, timeless and come with glowing recs from Facebook users and Target shoppers alike.
So, why are the Persephones great for pretty much everything? It's the sneaky combination of a chic woven exterior and comfortable memory foam. The former brings a little bit of spice to your outfit (compared to plain old white sneakers), especially when you add in the stitched detailing along the base. Meanwhile, the insole allows you to walk and stand comfortably. They also feature a rounded toe and a breathable upper.
On top of all that goodness, the outfit opportunities are endless. They can be paired with everything from a white tee and jeans to a flirty dress and a pair of leggings. Galavanting across Europe this fall? Definitely. Hitting the outlet stores with a Starbucks in hand? Yep. Got a yoga class at 11 and a lunch date at 2? The perfect pair. And, of course, how could I forget about hopping on a flight for your next getaway? That's versatility!
And Target shoppers have been raving about them too, giving the pair an average rating of 4.7 out of 5 stars, which is seriously impressive.
"I absolutely love them," shared one happy customer who owns three pairs. "You would You would not believe the compliments I get every single time I wear these sneakers... They are the best sneakers I’ve worn in a while and I can actually wear them all day without them hurting my feet."
