Florence Pugh impressed fans with her jaw-dropping arrival at the premiere of Don't Worry Darling at the Venice Film Festival as she arrived on the red carpet with her gran as her date.

The actor, 26, looked incredible in a show-stopping black, tulle gown which featured an off-the-shoulder neckline, frothy, balloon sleeves and a dramatic floor-skimming train.

From the brand’s fall/winter 2022-2023 Haute Couture collection, Florence Pugh teamed the incredible design, which was decorated with silver sequins, with high-waisted black shorts and wore Valentino feathered sandals, a diamond choker and matching earrings.

While she posed for pictures on her own, the star walked the red carpet with her grandmother, Pat, alongside her.

Dressed in a crisp, white suit with a pink floral silk scarf, Pat, looked thrilled to be on her granddaughter's arm, smiling and waving to fans, as the duo made their way into the venue.

Pugh later wrote about her outing with her beloved "Granzo Pat" in an Instagram post.

"At the end of my walk down that carpet, I saw my granny taking pictures on her phone," she wrote. "I hugged her and asked if she would like to stand with me for a picture, her eyes lit up whilst also saying “oh they don’t want to see me... I assured her they did.

"Next thing I know she’s dancing for all the photographers calling her name. It was truly the most special moment I have ever had on a carpet... Granzo Pat is remarkable."

As well as her loving words, Pugh’s choice of attire at the event seemed to earn the approval of fans on social media too.

One person described the look as “majestic”, while another said she looked “immaculate”.

"Florence pugh [sic] officially owns Venice," another wrote, while another added: “My god she is ethereal.”

“Florence Pugh in Valentino at the Venice red carpet… what dreams are made of,” another person added.

"Search up ethereal and Florence Pugh will show up I swear," yet another fan commented.

Other fans were impressed with the star's choice of plus one.

"Florence with her grandma at the red carpet she has my whole heart," one wrote.

"A very overlooked detail of this whole thing is that Florence Pugh brought her grandma on the red carpet and that is very beautiful," another agreed.

"Not only is she enjoying the spritz and avoiding the drama, she’s hanging out with her grandma," yet another fan commented. "I knew I loved Florence Pugh for a reason."

Pugh's stylist shared some stunning images of the star in the gown, which also met with approval from fans, with one calling the look "perfection" and others describing the outfit as "insane".

Last month, Pugh spoke about her relationship with her grandma too, describing her as "a bit of an adrenaline junkie," as she discussed her appearance on Running Wild With Bear Grylls: The Challenge.

"My gran is a bit of an adrenaline junkie," Pugh says casually in the clip. Grylls clarifies "your gran?" quickly adding, "I love it."

Pugh went on to explain that the pair used to go climb in the mountains together. "We'd go climbing, and she still goes now," Pugh says in the clip.

"She's 85. She goes climbing with her friends, and she's very jealous that I'm here right now."

Grylls asks if that's where she gets her "adventurous spirit," to which Pugh replies, "I reckon so."

The star also recently revealed her grandmother had no issues with her wearing a sheer dress to a fashion show.

Back in July, the Little Women actor caused a buzz as she stepped out in a nipple-revealing sheer fuchsia gown with a tulle neckline and flowing skirt to the Valentino couture event in Rome.

After hitting back at those who made "vulgar" statements about her body, in an interview with Harper's Bazaar, Pugh insisted that her family were unfazed by all of the fuss about the look online.

"I went to see my gran, and she goes, 'So what's all of this business about your nipples then?'" she recalled, before explaining how she showed her grandmother photos of her in the dress. She gasped. Because the dress was so beautiful."

Earlier this year Pugh opened up about a rare condition that forced her family to move from England to Spain when she was younger.

"We were in Spain because I have a breathing issue, and when I was younger they kind of just advised that a hotter climate would be better,” the actor revealed in an episode of Running Wild With Bear Grylls.

“I have asthma and I have this thing called tracheomalacia as well. And so from a young age, I've just had a different breathing system.”

The actor’s appearance at the premiere comes amid rumours of a “feud” between Pugh and the film’s director, Olivia Wilde.

The psychological thriller has been plagued by reports of behind-the-scenes tension, including a rumoured “falling out” between Wilde and Pugh.
