First look at Jane McDonald in exciting new role
Jane McDonald has shared a first look at her upcoming pantomime role.
The presenter and singer is set to star in a festive production of Robin Hood, which will be staged at The London Palladium from 7th December, 2024 to 12th January, 2025.
In a new promotional poster shared to her Instagram page, McDonald can be seen in character for the first time as Maid Marion, alongside panto royalty Julian Clary as Robin Hood.
Other cast members include Paul Zerdin, Nigel Havers, Charlie Stemp, Rob Madge, Marisha Wallace and Tosh Wanogho-Maud.
"So excited to be performing in The London Palladium’s panto as Maid Marion alongside Palladium panto royalty Julian Clary as Robin Hood," McDonald captioned the post. "Be quick if you want to book tickets - they’re flying out the door!!"
Tickets for Robin Hood are currently available to purchase from The London Palladium website.
Following the announcement of her panto role earlier this year, McDonald shared in a statement: "I’m so excited to be performing in The London Palladium’s panto! Returning for the ninth magnificent season, this year’s panto, Robin Hood, will be a spellbinding journey to the enchanting depths of Sherwood Forest."
Elsewhere, McDonald recently returned to Loose Women after originally leaving the ITV show a decade ago.
The TV presenter joined the Loose Women panel in 2004, before announcing her exit in 2014 to focus on her music career. However, earlier this month, she returned to the show "for a good gossip" about her upcoming projects.
These projects include her new book, Let The Light In: Lessons learned through life, love and laughter, as well as her With All My Love tour, where she will be singing some of her best-known hits and new material.
