First look at Agatha Christie's new adaptation with Anjelica Huston
A new Agatha Christie adaptation starring Anjelica Huston is coming out on BBC and the first pictures have now been released.
Towards Zero is a period murder mystery set in 1936 which follows Nevile Strange and his ex-wife Audrey who, following a scandalous celebrity divorce, decide to spend a summer together at the coastal estate of Nevile's aunt, Lady Tressilian. (played by Anjelica Huston).
First pictures of the series have now been released by the BBC, including a brooding shot of Anjelica Huston in character as Lady Tressilian, sat in an elaborate bedroom.
"With unfinished business between the former childhood sweethearts, plus the presence of Nevile’s new wife Kay, tensions are running high," said the BBC in a release. "Add to this a long-suffering lady’s companion, a mysterious gentleman’s valet, an exiled cousin with a grudge, a venerable family lawyer, an inquisitive orphan and a French con man, and soon there will be murder."
The other stills include some beautiful and dramatic scenes including stunning coastal views, and a nostalgic Wimbledon Centre Court as tennis is one of the themes of the plot. Filming for the series took place in and around Bristol, as well as on the Devon coast.
The show is billed as, "An explosive love triangle, a formidable matriarch and a house party of enemies. All compelled… Towards Zero."
