With more and more people looking to have a one-of-a-kind wedding day, the choice of ring is becoming ever more important.

One man has revealed a truly personalised way of showing your love for your lifelong partner.

He shared a photo of a fingerprint wedding ring he had specially made for his new wife.

On a Reddit thread, the user stated that the cute piece of jewellery had been inspired by woodwork.

“Several years ago, I saw some guy made a similar design using wood and I thought it would be great to make my wedding band more unique than the stuff you buy at the store,” he wrote.

“So I got in contact with a company online that designs custom jewellery and asked them to make it out of white gold with black plating on the ridges.”

Other people shared stories of their own bespoke experiences. One woman mentioned that she had immortalised her late husband, saying: “After my husband passed, I got a necklace with his ashes on it and his fingerprint on the back. It’s my most precious possession.”

There are two ways of getting your own bespoke ring. You can either approach a jeweller to custom make the wedding band or purchase a ready-made one from the likes of Etsy.
