Engagement rings are having a bit of a moment right now.
Not that there’s ever a time that engagement rings aren’t having a moment, of course, but recently our idea of what a beautiful engagement ring is has been changing.
Millennials are swapping out traditional diamonds for cheaper emeralds and rubies, for example, while Gaga has paved the way for heart-shaped rocks.
So it might surprise you that the most popular engagement ring on the internet right now isn’t so unconventional.
Custom made for Pinterest user Sylvia Billone, the rose gold ring has fetched more than 104,000 pins and is now the most popular engagement ring on the site.
Sadly, this means it won’t be available to buy at a jewellers – but it’s sure providing us with plenty of inspiration.
In fact, she revealed its precise specifications to The Sun as a “solitaire ring” that’s “1.22 karats with a two-millimetre-width rose gold band”.
A quick search reveals that similar rings can set you back thousands of pounds – so besides the price of having something custom made in the first place, a pre-made ring of a similar design would probably set you back a pretty penny as well.
But hey, can you put a price on love? (Maybe, to be honest.)
