The Great Pottery Throw Down has been a huge hit for art and craft fans on Channel 4 and they are now ecstatic to hear that series 8 is on the way.

Taking to Instagram, judge Keith Brymer Jones has teased that filming has already began for the new TV show, which has an expected release date of early 2025.

Sharing a series of pictures of the Gladstone Pottery Museum, where the show is filmed, Keith wrote: "Well...its good to be back! Filming series 8... can you believe it! @gladstonepottery @richmillerpots @duchesschina1888 Seeing those bottle kilns gladdens the heart."

And it wasn't long before fans of The Great Pottery Throw Down from all over the world were commenting about how excited they were to see the new series air.

Follower @christinecherry_ wrote: "Another series, can't wait!"

Agreeing, @rex_9150 added: "It’s one of the best things about a new year. Roll on 2025 series 8."

User @zoe_crabb was also giving away series ideas in hope it would be on TV longer as she commented: "Yes! Can we have 40 potters so the series lasts longer please?!"

Where is the Great Pottery Throw Down filmed?

The Great Pottery Throw Down sees a line-up of contestants from all over the country come together and compete in order to be crowned the best home potter in the UK.

They face 20 tough challenges over the ten week competition which is judged by Keith and Rich Miller.

It is filmed at the Gladstone Pottery Museum in Longton, Stoke on Trent.

In 2024, Donna from Bangor, Northern Ireland was crowned the winner of The Great Pottery Throw Down.

Series 3-7 of The Great Pottery Throw Down are available to stream on My4.
