Feast your eyes on this Christmas tree inspiration
How do you decorate your Christmas tree? Are you a maximalist or a traditionalist? Team faux-fir or always the real deal?
In a chat with Prima about her love of Christmas, queen of craft Sara recently revealed she puts up a whopping five Christmas trees in her home.
"Now, don't judge me for this... I have five Christmas trees. I'm a big fan of the Christmas tree," she says. "When you come into our hallway, I like to have a real, traditional, proper Christmas tree, so it makes the whole house smell beautiful and we have that beautifully decorated."
She also has what she refers to as "the real family tree" in the living room, featuring baubles made by her children over the years and family decorations her "mam's passed down from when I was little".
As for us? Some of us – Prima's homes editor included – won't be opting for a colour combination at all this year. Because sometimes more colour really is merrier.
While opinions might differ on decor, we can all agree on one thing: we all love a Christmas tree. From the fresh, woody scent that drenches your living room, to the fun novelty of decorating your chosen pine each year, it's a centuries-old tradition for a reason.
