Fearne Cotton claims she's 'anxiety free' amid shock split from husband Jesse Wood
Presenter Fearne Cotton completely shocked her fans earlier this month when she announced that she and her husband of 10 years had split. Fearne revealed her separation from Jesse Wood in December and has now spoken out about how she’s been feeling since then on her Happy Place podcast.
In a recent episode, Fearne confessed: “Luckily, I've been feeling pretty anxiety-free recently. One reason is I am going to therapy every week and not ditching out of it like I used to all the time. But also getting in touch with some very suppressed anger, that might seem abstract, but getting in touch with some very suppressed anger has really helped dull my anxiety.”
Fearne also added that she’s desperate to go on a wild night out. The broadcaster confessed that earlier in the year, she had been a 'happy little hermit' spending nights at home with her blended family at their six-bedroom Victorian property in Richmond. Now, Fearne has changed her mind. She said, “I'm actually feeling naturally like I want to go out more and socialise, have fun, and be a bit hungover. So I'm in a new little era. My kids are getting a bit older. Fun Fearne is back!”

Fearne and Jesse began dating in 2011, after meeting while out partying in Ibiza. The couple met the same year Jesse split from his first wife, Tilly Wood after eight years of marriage. The couple share two children, Rex and Honey and Jesse is also dad to children Arthur and Lola, who Fearne is stepmother to.
Fearne posted on Instagram: “It is with a heavy heart that I let you all know that Jesse and I are ending our marriage. Our priority has been and always will be our children. We please ask that you respect the privacy of our family at this time.”
Fearne’s split news came just days after she revealed she was undergoing surgery for two benign tumours. The star told her fans the news on Instagram where she also said she would be having an operation to remove them. Fearne said she had noticed the tumours after feeling a ‘lump’ under her ear and then discovered another above it on her ‘saliva gland’.
Just days later, Fearne revealed she had undergone surgery and showed off her scars as she praised her body for being ‘incredible’. She also informed her fans that post-surgery she was ‘healing well’ and will ‘always wear this scar with pride’.
