Fearne Cotton announces split from husband after 10 years
Fearne Cotton has announced she has split from her husband Jesse Wood after 10 years together.
The TV presenter and former Radio 1 DJ shared the news with her followers in a statement posted to her Instagram Story.
"It is with a heavy heart that I let you all know that Jesse and I are ending our marriage," she said. "Our priority has been and always will be our children. We please ask that you respect the privacy of our family at this time."
At the time of writing, Wood has not publicly addressed the split.
Cotton and Wood recently celebrated their tenth wedding anniversary together, after tying the knot in July 2014.
At the time, the former couple posed for a photoshoot wearing their wedding outfits from the big day.
"If it's good enough for the Beckhams," wrote Cotton on Instagram at the time, alongside a photo of the pair in their garden. "It's our wedding anniversary too. 10 years today. And we are back in our wedding outfits (not purple) and @jessejameswood can't locate the shoes."
The couple share two children together – son Rex, 11, and eight-year-old daughter Honey – plus Jesse's children Arthur and Lola from his first marriage.
News of their split follows Cotton's recent health scare. Earlier this month, she revealed that she was undergoing surgery on two tumours found on her jawline.
The Happy Place podcast star confirmed both tumours were benign and shared that she has plans "to rest and slow right down" following the procedure.
She also took the opportunity to advocate that people "always go get it checked" if they ever notice an unnatural lump or bump.
"I'm so glad I did as the longer you leave these things the more complicated things become," she said, signing off: "Sending you all loads of love and I'll see you soon."
