If you're looking for your next knitting project, we've got some brilliant free knitting patterns for women's accessories for you to try.

There are so many stylish knits to choose from – including a chunky scarf and a cute pair of wrist warmers. To make it even easier to make these pieces, some of these patterns have video guides for you to follow.

These projects are brilliant for beginner knitters – they're an ideal first project if you've learned the basics of how to knit and would like to use your skills to create stylish pieces for your wardrobe. We've also got guides on how to knit garter stitch, how to knit with circular needles, and how to work a cable stitch into your knitting, if you need to brush up on any of these skills.

We've chosen colours for the yarn in each of our knitting patterns, but you can swap them around to suit your style. Make these pieces for yourself, or for a friend with a winter birthday. Because these accessories are reasonably small, they only take a few evenings or a weekend to complete.
