The sudden influx of fashion TV feels like a long time coming, however. Ugly Betty’s finale aired fourteen years ago, the Next Top Model franchises just aren’t the same and Netflix’s Next in Fashion has no plans of returning for a third season.

Becoming Karl Lagerfeld (on Hulu)

Stepping away from the Marvel cinematic universe and into the world of fashion, Daniel Bruhl becomes Karl Lagerfeld. The series, airing in June, looks at the late designer in the 1970s, detailing his meteoric rise to fame as well as his romance and rivalries.

Feud: Capote vs The Swans (on Disney+)

The uber-slick second instalment of Ryan Murphy’s anthology series explores the intricate and vengeful relationship between Truman Capote and his socialite 'swans'. Based off the book by Laurence Leamer, the star-studded series features The White Lotus’ Tom Hollander as the American novelist, alongside the likes of Chloe Sevigny, Demi Moore and Naomi Watts. Expect high-class gossip and high fashion in abundance.

After a successful career dressing aristocrats and royals in Spain, the designer moves to Paris and presents his debut haute couture collection, however, further triumph is not inevitable. With competition against Dior, Givenchy and Chanel, Balenciaga faces trials and tribulations. The six part mini-series unveils just how he became one of the most influential designers of all time.

Christian Dior, played by Ben Mendelsohn, creates his eponymous house in a post-war Paris, facing a battle of his own against Coco Chanel (played by Juliette Binoche). John Malkovich and Maisie Williams also star, plus, the Jack Antonoff produced soundtrack – featuring Lana Del Rey and Florence and the Machine - is certainly worth a listen.

Opening with Audrey Hepburn musing on the designer, Very Ralph delves into the life of one of America’s greatest talents. Directed by the award-winning Susan Lacy, the documentary includes interviews with Mr Lauren himself, his family and friends (such as Karl Lagerfeld, Naomi Campbell and Calvin Klein), as well as unseen footage from half a decade of brand archives.
