Family quit UK due to cost-of-living - "We're travelling world for a better life"

A couple who quit the UK due to the cost-of-living crisis are travelling the world with their two children for a better "quality of life". Myer Rabbitts, 27, and her husband Matt, 31, spent the first few years of their relationship travelling South East Asia - including Thailand, Malaysia, Bali, Singapore and Vietnam. When the pandemic hit, Myer and Matt, a marketing agency owner, decided to return the UK but didn't originally plan to stay for long as they wanted to continue to see the world. While they were home, Myer gave birth to their little boy, Atlas, one, on September 6, 2022 and Cove, six months, on January 29, 2024. Keen to show their children different cultures, Myer and Matt sold everything they owned and booked a one-way ticket to Thailand in June. The couple are now in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, and say they are loving being able to spend more time as a family.
