App shows what celebrities, including Gordan Ramsey and the Jonas Brothers, will look like when older

We can’t all stay looking young forever (unless we’re Elizabeth Hurley).

Now a trending app has revealed what some A-list celebrities would look like if they were to fast forward a few decades – and the results are fascinating.

FaceApp is a mobile application for iOS and Android users. Developed by Russian company Wireless Lab, it allows users to transform a picture of their face to see what they would look like young, older, or even if they were a different gender.

A social media craze – known as the #AgeChallenge – has seen people sharing prematurely-aged pictures of both themselves and their favourite celebrities.

Some celebs have jumped on the bandwagon, sharing images of their “older” selves from their personal account.

Kicking it off was the Jonas Brothers. The musical trio, consisting of Kevin Jonas, 31, Joe Jonas, 29 and and Nick Jonas, 26, all share the genetic gift of youthful looks – but this image tells a different story.

Still not bad though – right?

‘Too Good At Goodbyes’ singer Sam Smith shared his own amusing #AgeChallenge, complete with salt n’ pepper beard and deep forehead lines.

At just 27 years old, likely he has much longer before he has to worry about these signs of ageing!

‘Saturdays’ singer and television/radio presenter Mollie King also got involved.

However, fans remarked on how youthful the 32-year-old looked – even with the changes made by the app.

American actor Busy Philipps, 40, who has recently been in the headlines as a fierce critic of strict US abortion laws, didn’t hold back with her #Age Challenge.

Another person to take up the challenge was ‘Good Morning Britain’ host Piers Morgan, 54 – who captioned his post: “I need a break”.

Other celebs taking up the #AgeChallenge so far include chef Gordon Ramsay and Canadian rapper Drake – who made his #AgeChallenge into a caption competition.

While the challenge has provided a comical insight into what celebrities might look in their old age, the reality is often that A-listers aged 60 and above look much younger than you might expect – thanks to their stellar health and fitness regimes, plus those handy genetics.

Actors Helen Mirren and Richard Gere, musical royalty Sir Mick Jagger and Sir Paul McCartney, plus actual royalty – our very own Queen Elizabeth II – are among those famous personalities considered to have aged the best.
