Having kicked off their Euro 2024 battle last week with a match against Scotland - which saw them win 5-1 - Germany are back on the football pitch for their second match of the tournament. This time, the team will take on Hungary on Wednesday, 19 June.

While manager Julian Nagelsmann cheers on his team from the side of the pitch, Julian's beloved girlfriend will be showing her support for him too.

Lena Wurzenberger , a journalist by profession, is believed to have crossed paths with the manager through her work.

She was working as a sports reporter for Germany's largest newspaper, Bild, when she began dating the ex-Bayern Munich manager in 2022.

Before moving to Munich, where she covered the Bundesliga champions for two years, she had reported on Werder Bremen.

Their romance is thought to have blossomed shortly after he ended his 15-year marriage with Verena, with whom he shares two children.

In July 2022, the smitten couple were spotted sharing kisses and cuddles on a yacht off the coast of Ibiza.

After the nature of their relationship came to light, Lena, whose paper had previously reported on Julian's split from his wife, was removed from covering Bayern Munich.

Bild broke the news of their relationship in an article titled: 'Julian Nagelsmann loves Bild reporter.'

The article revealed that the couple had enjoyed a brief holiday in Ibiza and that the newspaper had only recently become aware of their relationship.

The paper also confirmed that Lena had been relieved 'with immediate effect' from reporting on the Bundesliga champions after their previously secret relationship was discovered.

Lena, who was reportedly working as a police reporter in Munich, confirmed last month that she would be leaving her current role to join BMW from April 1 as 'spokeswoman for the supplier network and sustainability'.

The couple made their first public appearance together in November 2022, gracing the Esquire Townhouse red carpet in Munich.

In December of that year, during the World Cup, they were seen enjoying a romantic getaway in New York City.

They usually keep a low profile, with Lena especially keen on maintaining their relationship's privacy.

Not long after his separation was announced, he and Lena were seen together.

According to Bild, the couple are planning to build a home on the scenic Lake Tegernsee in the Bavarian Alps, indicating plans for a long-term relationship.

Last summer, Julian surprised fans when he was seen on a luxury private yacht with his new flame just weeks after ending his 15-year marriage.

The smitten pair seemed inseparable as they kissed and embraced on the yacht off the coast of Ibiza.

Earlier that month, Julian had separated from his wife Verena, whom he married in 2018.

The couple share two children: a son, Maximilian, born in 2015, and a daughter - whose name is yet unknown, born in 2020.

While Julian's ex-wife is known for her privacy, it's understood that Verena and Julian were childhood sweethearts who have been together since their teenage years.

The Sun reports that they tied the knot in a private ceremony in Bavaria four years ago.

According to reports, Julian is believed to have moved out of the family home he shared with Verena in Chiemgau, Germany.

The reason for their split remains a mystery, leaving fans stunned as Julian has always publicly praised his now ex-partner.

He even gave her a shout-out when he won the DFB Coach of the Year 2016 award.

"Verena has my back very, very much," he said, as reported by Bild.

"I can fully concentrate on my job. We have a very adorable child, which she mostly raises as a single parent.

"I can only take my hat off to that."
