Enter The Fish Gape – The New Celebrity Pose You Need To Try

Prepare yourself for a barrage of red carpet snapshots showing celebs pulling fish faces.

Why? Because it’s the new ‘it’ pose, appaz.

Never before have we seen such an on fleek fish gape (not that we knew what one was before today). [Photo: Instagram/J Lo]

Gone are the duck face days of pouting and puckering up for the camera and instead stars left, right and centre are pulling the ‘fish gape’ for the lens; cheeks sucked in and lips marginally parted.

See what we mean?

Little Mix’s Jesy Nelson has got the look perfected, too. [Photo: Instagram/Jesy Nelson]

The fish gape, as The Daily Mail is branding it, is a whole lot more subtle – and serious – than its predecessor and has everyone from Kim Kardashian to Little Mix giving it a go.

It seems like Kendall didn’t get the memo… as the Kardashian sisters forgo the pout and look all sultry for the camera instead. [Photo: Instagram/Kim Kardashian]

Plus it has the added advantage of making your face seem slimmer. Sucked in cheeks have a habit of doing that.

The downside? If done wrong, it does leave the wearer looking a little, well, stupid and grumpy to boot. Maybe try practicing it at home before trying it in public.
