Emma Watson looked chic in a little black dress and thigh-high boots for a glamorous pre-BAFTA party last night.

The actress, 31, stepped out at the Charles Finch and Chanel event at 5 Hertford Street in London's Mayfair ahead of the awards ceremony this evening.

She wore her chic LBD – which featured sheer, cut-out detailing – with a long-line black blazer and a pair of £1,425 thigh-high striped boots from Jimmy Choo’s collaboration with Mugler.

The Harry Potter star, who wore her brunette hair in an elegant up-do, finished off her look with dainty jewellery and a quilted handbag.

The event – which was also attended by celebrities including Jenna Coleman, Claudia Winkleman and Alexa Chung – was being held ahead of the first in-person BAFTAs in two years.

Tonight, the awards ceremony, which is being hosted by actress Rebel Wilson, will take place at the Royal Albert Hall.

Famous faces have already been arriving on the red carpet.

These included Lady Gaga – who opted for platform heels and a dress with a dramatic fishtail – as well as Millie Bobby Brown and Salma Hayek.

Watson's stylish outfit comes after she turned heads in an ensemble she wore for a climate change event back in October.

She opted for a green and white floral patterned midi-length skirt with matching crop made.

It was made from recycled materials by the designer Emilia Wickstead, who shared a picture to Instagram.

However, it was deemed "inappropriate" by social media users because it appeared to be cut to reveal the star's black bra.
