Emma Stone set to marry: First look at Oscar-winner's engagement ring

Emma Stone, 31, is engaged to her partner, Dave McCary, 34, after two years of dating.
The couple’s engagement was announced earlier today in an Instagram post shared by McCary, a ‘Saturday Night Live’ writer and segment director.
It features a photo of the pair smiling, with the ‘La La Land’ actor holding her hand close to the camera to show she is wearing an engagement ring.
McCary captioned the post with simply a heart emoji.

The post includes a rather blurry shot of Stone’s engagement ring, which appears to be a large clear-cut diamond set on a slim, diamond-studded band.
Well-wishers rushed in to congratulate the couple.
“Wow yes love exists!!,” wrote actor Ryan Simpkins.
“Congratulations to two of the most wonderful, loving, and creative people we know. Ilana and I are so happy for you!” wrote American tennis star Billie Jean King, whom Stone depicted in 2017’s ‘Battle of the Sexes’.
“Nice and blurry!!” joked comedian Julio Torres.
Either the pair didn’t realise the ring was blurry before uploading the photo or they simply didn’t mind.
With other celebrity - and non-celebrity - couples, the engagement ring ‘reveal’ is often the focal point of the image shared on social media.
Brides-to-be including Jennifer Lopez, Princess Beatrice and Miranda Kerr have even shared separate close-up shots of their rings.

Emma Stone and Dave McCary’s relationship
McCary is an American filmmaker and segment director for ‘Saturday Night Live’. He is also a co-founder of the sketch comedy group, Good Neighbor.
He first met Stone in 2016 when she guest-starred on a SNL sketch entitled ‘Wells for Boys’, which he directed.

In November 2017, the pair were pictured together in New York leaving many to conclude they were dating.
They have kept a low profile while dating, with their first red carpet appearance falling in January this year at the Screen Actors Guild Award.
Stone previously dated her Spiderman co-star, Andrew Garfield between 2011 and 2015.
The Oscar-winnter’s not the only high profile figure to get engaged this autumn.
Princess Beatrice, announced her engagement to partner Eduardo Mapelli Mozzi in September.
