It seems summer is almost certainly over for another year in the UK, but Emily Maitlis' latest look is the perfect reminder that there is still joy to be found through a seasonal wardrobe - especially when there are sequins involved.
The journalist welcomed in the autumn with a glittering maxi dress at the premiere of A Very Royal Scandal on Monday (9 September), with a seasonally-inspired gown in a deep wine colour.
Emily was attending the screening of the new series which details the Newsnight interview she conducted with Prince Andrew in November 2019.
Emily was an executive producer on A Very Royal Scandal, while Luther star Ruth Wilson plays Emily on screen. Prince Andrew, on the other hand, is played by Michael Sheen, and both actors joined Emily on the red carpet for the premiere.
The trio also joined a Q&A panel on stage at the screening of the first episode, which will stream on Amazon Prime Video from Thursday (19 September).
According to the network, the series will follow the "lead-up to the interview, the ground-breaking event itself and the many questions left in its wake that would change their lives forever."
It went on to describe the drama as a "captivating retelling which demonstrates the power of journalism through a pivotal moment in British history."
A Very Royal Scandal streams on Amazon Prime Video from 19 September 2024.
