Emily Blunt addresses new-found style icon status: "I dress like a boy every day I'm not promoting Mary Poppins"
Since Emily Blunt burst onto the silver screen in the 2006 hit ‘The Devil Wears Prada’, the British actress has wowed the world with her acting know-how.
But her sartorial prowess has never really been a talking point.
The Roehampton-born star has always been a reliable red carpet bet, yet her ensembles have never been particularly noteworthy.
However, that’s all changed in the past few years.
The 35-year-old, who shares two children with actor husband John Krasinski, has stepped up her style game and unveiled an enviable arsenal of gowns – all with the help of her stylist Jessica Paster.
From an embroidered McQueen gown, worn to the 2017 BAFTAs, to a frothy Schiaparelli dress donned for the 2018 Oscars, the Golden Globe winner now regularly graces best dressed lists.
She was even photographed by the infamous Annie Leibovitz for the November 2018 issue of Vogue. And when you cover Vogue, you know you’ve really made it…

Almost all of Blunt’s ‘Mary Poppins Returns’ premiere looks have hit headlines, from the romantic, billowing-sleeved Yanina Couture gown she wore in LA to the sleek, royal blue Schiaparelli gown she wore in London.
But despite her newfound fashion ‘fame’, the actress says she feels no pressure in dressing for red carpet appearances.
“I don’t really feel the pressure because I really enjoy it,” the actress tells Yahoo Movies UK. “I don’t dress like [this] – I’m usually in jeans and a T-shirt.
“I dress like a boy every day that I’m not promoting ‘Mary Poppins’.
“I love the whole spectacle of it and it’s fun, I really enjoy fashion, I adore it actually, so I don’t feel pressure. I just have to wear something that I love and that’s all I worry about, really.”
