Emily Atack’s EastEnders actress mum shares adorable new pic of star's newborn son
Emily Atack's mum has shared an adorable new photograph of the actress' baby son Barney. Emily welcomed her first child with boyfriend Alistair earlier this month.
Emily's mum Kate Robbins, 65, who has appeared in shows such as EastEnders and After Life, has been doting on her new grandson and shared snaps of the tot on social media. After sharing a post about being a first time grandmother, Kate has now shared a sweet selfie of her and Barney cuddling.
The newborn can be seen lying on his grandmother's chest as he sleeps. Kate looks every inch the proud grandparent, beaming for the camera.
"I promise not to keep posting pics of me and my grandson, Barney' The mantra that will prove to be untrue…," Kate jokingly captioned the photograph on Instagram. Dozens of fans flocked to gush over the post, with many urging her to keep posting snaps of baby Barney.
One person said: "Keep posting. He looks fab and it obviously suits you ( sir)! You look radiant." A second fan added: "What a beautiful picture Kate - one for the frame xxx".
A third follower wrote: "What a joyous picture! Lovely to see - keep posting! x," while a fourth said: "keep posting Kate , it’s so wonderful to have a grandson, you look so proud," with a red heart emoji.
Emily announced the arrival of her first child on Instagram on 20 June. She shared a black and white snap of her and boyfriend Alistair cradling their newborn son and excitedly told fans: "We have a beautiful son. Barney James Garner. All my dreams have come true."
The new mum, who shared news of her pregnancy in January, was inundated with congratulatory messages and well wishes from her followers, including fellow celebrities.
Lisa Snowdon penned: "Oh darling Em! Yay! Congratulations to you both. Loads of love and welcome to the world little Barney." Stacey Dooley said: "Yesyesyesyesyesyesyes," with a red heart emoji.
"CONGRATULATIONS GUYS WE LOVE YOU ALL SO MUCH," Chloe Madeley added, while Sara Davies said: "Congratulations lovely!" Singer Ashley Roberts wrote: "Aww congrats Ems!!!" with a heart emoji.
The I’m A Celebrity winner announced her pregnancy in December, and had been documenting her journey towards motherhood ever since. She announced she was having a boy during an interview on Loose Women, where she opened up about her symptoms and how she felt about becoming a new mum.
