EastEnders has seemingly dropped a major clue about Maya Houssain's real identity and her connection to a former character on the BBC soap.
Viewers are convinced they've cracked why she's really in Walford and why she's got her sights set on Harvey Monroe. A scene from Thursday 20 June episode might have revealed her true motives and what she's keeping under wraps.
Maya's been acting a bit off for weeks now, ever since she became pals with Harvey. Her sudden disappearance and deactivation of her social media accounts hinted at a secret life outside of Walford.
She's also shown a keen interest in Harvey, and in the latest episode we saw her probing into his family life. She seemed particularly intrigued by Harvey's son, ex-character Aaron Monroe.

Fans are speculating that Maya could be the spouse of the taxi driver who was the victim of a racially charged attack by Aaron and his mates years ago, and recent episodes seem to have sealed the deal on this theory.
