EastEnders' Bobby Beale's exit storyline 'confirmed' as fans 'rumble' murder twist
EastEnders fans are convinced that Bobby Beale, played by Clay Milner Russell, is set to meet a tragic end as his departure from the soap approaches.
The character has been at the centre of numerous dramatic storylines in Albert Square, most notably in 2014 when it was revealed he had killed his half-sister, Lucy Beale, portrayed by Hetti Bywater.
Bobby was subsequently sent to a young offenders institution, but made a return to the show in 2019, with Clay stepping into the role previously played by Eliot Carrington.
In recent storylines, Bobby has faced difficulties with the return of Cindy Beale, played by Michelle Collins, who struggles to accept him following the murder of her daughter.
Their relationship got off to a rocky start, with Cindy even forcing Ian Beale, played by Adam Woodyatt, to choose between her and Bobby. Bobby has also found himself caught up in a love triangle with Freddie Slater (Bobby Brazier) and Anna Knight (Molly Rainford), reports the Daily Star.
Fans will remember that Bobby has had feelings for Anna since she first arrived on the scene.
However, he was left devastated when he discovered that his best friend Freddie had slept with Anna. Despite this, the friends managed to reconcile their differences, and Bobby is now dating Anna.
But in a twist earlier this year, it was announced that actor Clay would be leaving the soap, bidding a "definite goodbye" to Albert Square. After five years on the show, he made the "difficult decision" to leave the BBC series.
Ahead of his departure, fans are convinced they've figured out how he'll exit - and it might involve a body bag. On Reddit, one fan shared an interview with Cindy Beale actress Michelle Collins.
The telly star hinted that Cindy is about to become even more villainous. Fans were quick to respond, with many suggesting Cindy could be set to murder Bobby in a shocking twist.
One person commented: "RIP Bobby, I guess." Another added: "And Bobby is leaving. let's put two and two together.." A third chimed in: "I guess she's going to plot to get rid of bobby and is successful." Another agreed, writing: "She's gonna kill Bobby isn't she."
However, other fans think his exit could be due to Freddie potentially stealing Anna from Bobby - leaving him heartbroken. One person speculated: "I think Bobby is going to leave Eastenders because Anna and Freddie might hook up again."
Another wrote: "I wonder how Bobby will exit the show later in the year? I think Freddie might end up declaring his love for Anna - Bobby will discover this and then leave the show that way. Then the door can be left open for him for a possible return in the future."
