Duke And Duchess Of Cambridge Hire New Housekeeper
Royal veteran Sadie Rice to join the staff at Anmer Hall
Kate and William have added another member to Team Cambridge with the appointment of a new housekeeper at Anmer Hall.
After a stringent hiring process, Sadie Rice has been offered the job of royal housekeeper for the family of four at their Norfolk home.
The 33-year-old already has royal credentials on her CV after working for Norway’s Crown Prince Haakon and his wife Crown Princess Mette-Marit helping to look after their children, Princess Ingrid and Prince Sverre.
West Sussex born Sadie had to go through three rounds of interviews, including a sit down with Kate and William, before she was offered the job.
The initial advertisement for the role was placed in The Lady magazine (naturally) and asked for a candidate who had worked ‘preferably within a family environment with dogs’.
Sadie joins royal nanny Maria Teresa Turrion, who looks after Prince George and Princess Charlotte, at Anmer Hall and may on occasion help with childcare.
Is it just us or does playing with Prince George all day sound like the best job ever?
Everyone’s favourite royal (sorry Harry) was spotted out not once but twice this weekend as he watched his first ever trooping of the colour and attended a polo match.
The one-year-old wore dad William’s blue romper suit to watch the Queen’s annual birthday ceremony from the balcony at Buckingham Palace on Saturday and looked so darn cute doing it we thought we might die.
He only went and topped it the next day in an adorable blue cardi and Crocs combo at the Beaufort Polo Club in Gloucestershire.
After being kept out of the public eye for a whole year, it’s lovely to see Prince George out and about again!
