In a touching tribute to her two-month-old son Archie, the Duchess of Sussex wore a personalised ‘A’ necklace to Wimbledon last week.

The sentimental jewellery item by Sydney-based designer, Emma Swann, soon caught the attention of fashion followers and has already fallen under the spell of the ‘Meghan Effect’.

According to Swann, her company, Verse Fine Jewellery, has received an “avalanche” of orders since the royal mother debuted the accessory - leading the website to crash. Twice.

“It's all about sentiment and love, which people adore, and to see her wearing the necklace is amazing,” she told the Daily Mail.

“I've had an avalanche of orders since this went online, with people wanting initials for various reasons, many with hearts, for their children or partners - and some christenings, which is lovely.”

The necklace is part of the brand’s Love Letters range which enables you to create your own bespoke item by adding charms and letters in 18k yellow, pink or white gold.

Although she didn’t speak to Meghan directly, Swann revealed that she exchanged messages with the Duchess of Sussex’s ‘people’ when creating the $590 (approximately £371) necklace.

Though it’s not the first time the mother-of-one has shown love for her family through the art of dressing.

Back when she was first dating Prince Harry, Meghan was photographed in Toronto wearing a £190 necklace strewn with the letters ‘M’ and ‘H’ by Los Angeles designer Maya Brenner.
